Oxygen CEO Alex Grebnev was one of the speakers at The BlockShow Europe, which took place in Berlin on 28-29 May. He participated in the main stage panel discussion dedicated to government blockchain initiatives within EU and beyond.
Panel was moderated by Naeem Aslam, Chief Market Analyst at ThinkMarkets. Mr. Grebnev was speaking alongside VP Capital founder Viktor Prokopenya, Webit.Foundation executive chairman Plamen Russev, Liberland president Vít Jedlička, and PhD researcher of the blockchain, e-governance and e-democracy Oleksii Konashevych.
Speaking about the importance of government regulation, Grebnev said: “There is a lot of value that regulation can add to the process in terms of resilience, setting standards, client expectations and much more. The BlockShow Europe 2018 conference took place on 28-29 May 2018 in Berlin. This year BlockShow set a new record with 3,000 people attended, 150 projects presented and 93 companies had exhibitions at the event. It hosted over 80 internationally recognized speakers, who offered their insights into the transformative potential of blockchain in areas such as IoT, AI, Cybersecurity, worldwide blockchain regulations, governmental initiatives and many others. Central bank and EU government representatives were also in attendance to share their experiences of implementing the technology in their fields.
